BUILDERS’ MERCHANTS SHORTLISTED FOR AWARDS
20th September 2004
Jackson Building Centres has been shortlisted in two categories at the Builders’ Merchants Awards for Excellence 2004.
The Lincoln-based company is competing for the Best Builders’ Merchants Showroom award, sponsored by Neff, and the Best Builders’ Merchant Marketing Initiative award, sponsored by Finnforest UK Ltd.
Jackson’s, which has previously won awards in the contest, entered its new showroom at Louth and its recently refurbished showroom at Nottingham. It also submitted a successful landscaping promotion which ran throughout the summer and focused on Jackson’s new patio feature kit and sun circle.
The awards, now in their third year, are organised by Builders’ Merchants News to provide a platform for the industry to officially recognise its high achievers. The shortlist was drawn up by the magazine’s managing editor and publisher from entrants throughout the industry. A panel of judges will choose three finalists in each of the 12 categories and the winner and runners-up will be announced at the presentation night in London on November 26.
Organiser David Wilson said: “These awards recognise the professionalism that is so prominent in the builders’ merchants industry and reward good business practice, the achievement of goals and proven success in service and innovation."
Jackson’s marketing manager Colin Bartleet said the company was delighted to be involved in the awards again.
“Jackson’s is constantly pushing the boundaries and striving to achieve better standards year on year. Being shortlisted for these two awards shows us that we are heading in the right direction,” he added.
