A BUILDERS’ merchant has further strengthened its operation with the appointment of three key staff.

Jackson Building Centres has recruited Sadie Newton, Vicky Watts and Denise Williams to senior roles at its Lincoln head office.

Sadie has been appointed as the company’s third group accountant and joined Jackson’s after working for another Lincoln-based business. Originally from Sleaford, Sadie, 28, lives at Bracebridge Heath and said she was already enjoying her new role. “I was in practice for eight years and decided to move into industry,” she explained. ”What I’m doing now is what I like best and Jackson’s has a great team,” she added.

Vicky and Denise are also supporting the accountancy department. Vicky joined the company from a previous job with TNT UK Limited and moved to the area from Nuneaton, Warwickshire. She has previously worked for several large companies including Lloyds Chemist and Federal Express.

Now living at Firsby, Vicky, 43, heads a team of 17 and is enjoying her new post. “People here are very personable and approachable and there’s a real family feel about the company,” she added.

Denise has relocated to the Lincolnshire area from Liverpool where she worked as an information officer for Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority. She previously spent 18 years in the army working with the military police and described her job at Jackson’s as enjoyable and challenging.

The company’s financial director Michael Bishop said the new appointments would further strengthen the team at head office and wished the new employees every success in their new roles.
