A new conservatory creates the ideal space for entertaining |
CONSERVATORIES were originally designed to protect exotic plants from the ravages of the British winter. Over the decades they became an additional living space – but often one which was too cold in winter and sweltering in the height of summer. Now those days are gone and developments in glass technology, ventilation and heating systems mean a well planned conservatory can comfortably be used all year long.
With the UK’s changeable climate it is no surprise that adding a conservatory tops the list when it comes to major home improvements. The chance to sit indoors in a space flooded with natural light creates an enormous sense of well being, and conservatories are also popular for entertaining after dark when the glow of candles or subtle lighting can create a magical atmosphere.
If you decide to invest in a conservatory you will want to ensure that the product you use has been manufactured from top quality materials and meets all the required British Standards. That is why calling in at your local Jackson builders’ merchants is sure to pay off.
Jackson Building Centres have built up a reputation for quality and service over the past five decades. The Lincoln-based company now has 20 branches throughout the East Midlands, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. It also has a wholly owned subsidiary, Jackson Window Systems, which manufactures replacement windows and conservatories.
Jackson Window Systems is FENSA registered and operates from a state-of-the-art factory in Canwick Road Lincoln, where it produces highly insulated and fully weather resistant doors and window frames. In order to supply complete conservatories the company uses Europe’s leading roofing system, which is manufactured in Britain by Ultra Frame.
Everything made by Jackson Window Systems fully complies with all the latest building regulations, and is at the forefront of manufacturing with sealed units filled with argon gas for greater insulation properties.
Jackson’s marketing manager Colin Bartleet said: “The advantage of having our own dedicated factory making glazed units is that we are able to oversee the total quality of the product, which we guarantee for ten years.”
Jackson’s branch staff are happy to advise both trade and retail customers, and can offer a wide range of products at competitive prices. They can arrange for a full installation service, or simply supply the glazed units.
So why not call in at Jackson’s for some bright ideas about conservatories?
