NEW APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCED AT JACKSON’S BRANCH

AN EMPLOYEE at a builders’ merchant branch has been promoted just a few months after joining the company.
Darren Gibbins started work as a lightside sales representatiive at the Grimsby branch of Jackson Building Centres in May this year and has now been appointed as assistant branch manager at Louth.
Darren, 35, joined Jackson’s after more than 18 years in the industry which included five years as branch manager of the Plumb Center branch in Louth. He can now put his knowledge of the area to good use dealing with the increasing number of customers at the Jackson’s store which opened just over a year ago.
He is due to start his new job in September and said he was looking forward to the opportunity of taking on wider responsibilities. “Jackson’s seems to be a very customer-friendly company and I enjoy working for them,” said Darren, who lives in Grimsby. “Louth is a very nice and busy branch which I’ve visited quite regularly.”
The Louth depot, on the Fairfield Industrial Estate, became Jackson’s 20th store when it opened last year as part of the company’s continued expansion throughout the East Midlands. It provides a one-stop shop for customers, stocking a wide range of items including plumbing and heating supplies, building materials, timber – including a cutting service – landscaping, ironmongery and decorating products. It also has bathroom and kitchen showrooms and an outdoor patio display featuring the latest products from leading manufacturers.
Roger Francis, Jackson’s operations director, said Darren had brought a wealth of experience and local knowledge to the company and wished him every success in his new role.
