JACKSON EMPLOYEES RECEIVE TOP IRONMONGERY AWARD
1st November 2007
TWO employees at Classic Hardware in Leeds, which is owned by Jackson Building Centres, have been awarded with specialist diplomas by the Guild of Architectural Ironmongery at a prestigious awards luncheon at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London.
The annual luncheon, which took place on Thursday 1 November, is the highlight in the Guild’s calendar and is a chance to celebrate the excellence of its training and education programmes with the presentation of the Guild Diploma to all students who complete their level 1, 2 and 3 exams. This year’s VIP guest speaker was former cabinet minister, the Rt Hon John Redwood.
Among this year’s recipients were Neil Furness, assistant branch manager and Claire Furness, accounts supervisor of Classic Hardware in Leeds, which specialises in the sale of ironmongery products. Both Neil and Claire came top in the country in their level 1 and 2 exams.
Neil said;” I am delighted to have completed level 2 of the diploma, and I am looking forward to completing level 3 next year. The qualification has proved very useful, as I now have a good level of technical competence which has enabled me to offer our customers professional advice about our range of ironmongery products.”
Claire said: “I am really delighted to have received my certificate, it makes all the hard work and effort worthwhile, and coming top in the country for level 1 is an achievement that I’m particularly proud of.”
Classic Hardware Limited is a distributor of ironmongery products to house builders in the Yorkshire and East Midlands area and has been under Jackson Building Centre’s operation since April 2007.
