BUILDER’S MERCHANT MAKES BOARD APPOINTMENT

JACKSON BUILDING CENTRES is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Williams to its Executive Board.
Andy joined the company 24 years ago where he worked as the Lincoln heating department manager. He then moved to the Swinton branch as manager and in 1997, he transferred back to the Lincoln branch where he assumed the role of branch manager there.
Simon Jackson, joint managing director said: “Over the last 10 years, Andy has done an excellent job of managing what is probably the largest single merchant depot in the country and during that time, Lincoln has been one of the most consistently successful branches in the group.”
As well as becoming an active member of the board, Andy will continue with his overall responsibilities as Lincoln branch manager and will be based at the company’s head office in Lincoln.
Commenting on his appointment, Andy said: “Having worked for Jackson Building Centres for almost my entire career, being appointed to the Executive Board is a fulfilment of a long held ambition. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and to building upon the success that the company has achieved so far.”
Sue Knight, joint managing director, said: “We are delighted to be strengthening the board with Andy’s appointment. I would like to congratulate Andy on his achievement and I am sure that the whole company will join us in wishing him well with his new responsibilities.”
