JACKSON SAYS FAREWELL TO LONG SERVING EMPLOYEE

11st March 2008

A long serving employee at Jackson Building Centres in Lincoln has received gifts as a show of gratitude for her years of hard work and loyalty to the company.

Jackie Jones received a sewing machine and a beautiful bouquet in recognition of nearly 15 years of service with the company. Simon Jackson, joint managing director, presented Jackie with the gifts at a special presentation that was held for her on Friday 23rd February.

Jackie 60, who lives in Scampton, originally joined the company in 1993 and worked part-time in the plumbing department, where she was responsible stock control, before moving to the group transport office at Lincoln in 1995.

Talking about the presentation, Jackie said: “Simon Jackson thanked me for my service and presented me with my fantastic new sewing machine. Sewing is one of my favourite hobbies, and now that I have more spare time on my hands, I will certainly be putting it to good use.

“I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for my lovely gifts. I have enjoyed some good times during my time with the company, and over the years I have made a great deal of friends and I will miss them all.”
