NEW VICE PRESIDENCY FOR SUE

Sue Knight, Joint Managing Director of East Midlands based Jackson Building Centres, has become the first lady to be appointed as new vice president of FEST -The Federation of Associations of Sanitary and Heating Wholesale Trade.
The appointment comes after the general assembly of FEST, unanimously elected Sue to become vice president and Richard Wachter as the new president, who succeeds Sverre Hedienreich of the Norwegian Heidenreich AS Group who has had to resign due to ill health.
Sue, who is also the FEST primary contact for the Builders Merchant Federation (UK), spoke about her appointment. “I am delighted to become the first lady vice president of the federation, a role which I look forward to.
“I am keen to work together with the other members of the presidency, the new president, Richard Wachter, Director General, Frans Geurts and the Association’s members’ to represent and promote the interests of the sanitary and heating wholesale industry in the UK and across Europe, and to develop a greater understanding of the way each country operates in the face in imminent legislation.”
The European Federation of Association of the Sanitary and Heating Wholesale Trade (FEST) is a European trade body, with the objective of promoting its member’s interests in the fields of trade and industry and related issues. FEST provides merchants of sanitary and heating articles with the support and advice needed to run their businesses in a competitive environment.
