Home, Build and Away with Jackson Building Centres

20th November 2008

Despite the continuing pessimism about conditions in the housing market, last weeks Homebuilding and Renovating Show in Harrogate saw 8,200 visitors ranging from the home improver and renovator to the traditional self-builder.

Amongst exhibitors, last weekend saw leading East Midlands based builders merchants, Jackson Building Centres, exhibit renewable energy products to public and trade visitors to the Show in the beautiful North Yorkshire spa town.

In light of rising fuel bills, producing energy for heating, hot water and electricity without using fossil fuels is often complex and confusing, so for this years show, Jackson Building Centres created a number of large format diagrams clearly and concisely depicting how solar panels, heat pumps and various other systems actually work. Added to that, expert advice and literature was available to all who visited the stand.

Visitors also had the opportunity to view the rainwater harvesting systems, photovoltaic cells – the process of converting light into electricity, and wind turbine energy displays on show.

Jackson Building Centres Marketing Manager Colin Bartleet said:  “A huge number of people streamed through the doors towards our exhibition stands.  Our displays attracted visitors due to their simplistic designs and easy to understand explanations by Jackson’s employees, and most importantly of course the quality and innovative product lines.”

There are now 6 Homebuilding & Renovating Shows in the UK including: The National at the NEC, ExCeL in London, SECC in Glasgow as well as 3 regional shows.  Each show provides an invaluable resource for anyone who is looking to self-build, renovate, remodel or improve their home.

Jackson Building Centres are located across the East Midlands, York, Leeds and Grimsby.  For further information about renewable energy products please visit www.jacksonbc.co.uk or call into your local branch.
